Shriram Matriculation School was started in 1996 at Krishnanagar village, Tadepalli Mandal, Guntur District. It was initially started by Sri Venkateswaran, MD, M/s.Omayal Agro Industries for the children of employees. Shriram Matriculation school was started with 26 pupils and 2 teachers. Later, admissions were opened to all neighboring community children.

Over the years Shriram Matriculation School has grown under the direction of Sri G. Obulu Naidu, former President, STFC. It provides free education to over 300 children from nursery to Class VII. The school now functions at Prakash Nagar from rented premises. Shriram Matriculation School was recognized by the AP Government in 2012. It offers English and Telugu medium of instruction for students from the neighbouring low income areas comprising families of mainly daily wage earners.
